Warranty Policy
RideMart Limited Warranty Policy
Warranty Coverage
Products purchased from RideMart are covered by the applicable manufacturer’s limited warranty.
Depending on the brand and model, eligible products may include:
- A 2-year limited manufacturer’s warranty
- A 1-year limited manufacturer’s warranty
- A different warranty period specified by the manufacturer
The applicable warranty period will be displayed on the product page or included in the manufacturer’s warranty documentation.
If there is any difference between this RideMart Warranty Policy and the manufacturer’s written warranty, the manufacturer’s warranty terms will control.
RideMart does not automatically provide an additional warranty beyond the warranty offered by the product manufacturer unless an additional RideMart warranty is expressly stated in writing on the applicable product page.
Warranty Period
The warranty period begins on the date specified in the applicable manufacturer’s warranty, generally the original purchase, delivery, or store-pickup date.
Warranty coverage applies only for the duration listed for the specific brand, model, and component.
Replacement parts or products supplied under warranty are generally covered for the remaining portion of the original warranty period unless otherwise stated by the manufacturer or required by applicable law.
Eligible Purchasers
Unless the manufacturer’s policy states otherwise, warranty coverage is available only to the original retail purchaser of a product purchased directly from RideMart or a participating RideMart location.
To receive warranty assistance, customers may be required to provide:
- Original RideMart order number
- Proof of purchase
- Product serial number
- Purchaser’s name and contact information
- Product registration information, when required
- Proof of professional assembly, when required by the manufacturer
Warranty coverage may not be transferable to a subsequent owner unless the applicable manufacturer specifically allows warranty transfers.
What the Warranty Covers
The applicable manufacturer’s limited warranty generally covers verified defects in materials or workmanship that arise under normal and intended use.
Depending on the manufacturer’s policy, covered components may include:
- Frame
- Fork
- Motor
- Battery
- Controller
- Display
- Charger
- Electrical wiring
- Certain original mechanical components
Coverage varies by brand, model, and component. The inclusion of a component in this list does not guarantee that it is covered under every manufacturer’s warranty.
The manufacturer will determine whether a reported issue qualifies as a manufacturing defect.
What Is Not Covered
Manufacturer warranties generally do not cover:
- Normal wear and tear
- Flat tires or punctured tubes
- Worn tires, brake pads, chains, belts, cables, grips, saddles or bearings
- Cosmetic scratches, dents, fading or paint damage
- Surface rust or corrosion
- Normal reduction in battery capacity over time
- Damage caused by improper assembly or installation
- Failure to perform regular maintenance
- Accidents, collisions, crashes or transportation damage
- Racing, jumping, stunts or unintended riding
- Misuse, abuse, neglect or overloading
- Commercial, delivery, fleet or rental use unless expressly approved
- Water damage beyond the product’s stated water-resistance rating
- Fire, flood, extreme heat or improper storage
- Use of an unapproved charger or battery
- Unauthorized repairs or modifications
- Removal or alteration of the serial number
- Speed modifications or removal of factory speed restrictions
- Aftermarket motors, batteries, controllers, throttles or electrical components
- Damage caused by parts that are not approved by the manufacturer
- Products purchased from an unauthorized seller
- Lost, abandoned or stolen products
Shipping damage must be reported separately according to the RideMart Shipping and Delivery Policy.
Battery Warranty
Battery warranty coverage varies by brand and model.
Normal battery-capacity reduction resulting from age, charging cycles, temperature, storage conditions and regular use is generally considered normal wear and is not automatically considered a manufacturing defect.
Battery warranty coverage may be denied when damage results from:
- Improper charging
- Use of an unauthorized charger
- Long-term storage with an empty battery
- Exposure to excessive heat or freezing temperatures
- Water intrusion
- Physical damage
- Improper transportation
- Unauthorized opening or repair of the battery
- Failure to follow the manufacturer’s charging and storage instructions
Immediately stop using a battery that is swollen, leaking, damaged, unusually hot or producing an unusual odor.
Assembly Requirements
Professional assembly by a qualified bicycle mechanic is strongly recommended.
Certain manufacturers may require proof of professional assembly before approving a warranty claim. Customers should retain the assembly receipt and service records.
Damage directly caused by incorrect assembly, improper adjustment, loose fasteners, incorrect pedal installation or improper setup is not considered a manufacturing defect.
RideMart store pickup or display does not automatically mean that professional assembly is included. Assembly must be expressly included on the product page, selected during checkout or confirmed in writing.
Labor and Diagnostic Costs
Unless specifically approved in writing by RideMart or the manufacturer, warranty coverage does not automatically include:
- Diagnostic fees
- Repair labor
- Bicycle-shop labor
- Mobile service fees
- Transportation expenses
- Product pickup or delivery
- Packaging materials
- Return shipping
- Installation of replacement parts
Do not authorize repairs, purchase replacement parts or hire an outside repair provider before receiving written approval.
RideMart and the manufacturer may decline reimbursement for unauthorized labor, repairs or replacement parts.
Shipping Costs
Shipping responsibility varies according to the manufacturer’s warranty.
The customer may be responsible for shipping the product or affected component to RideMart, the manufacturer or an authorized service provider.
When a prepaid shipping label is provided, the customer must package the product according to the supplied instructions. Damage caused by insufficient or improper packaging may not be covered.
Lithium-ion batteries are regulated for transportation and must not be returned without prior authorization and specific shipping instructions.
Warranty Remedies
After reviewing an approved claim, the manufacturer may choose to provide one or more of the following remedies:
- Troubleshooting assistance
- Replacement parts
- Repair authorization
- Component replacement
- Product replacement
- Store credit
- Refund or partial refund
- Another remedy permitted under the manufacturer’s warranty
Replacement products or components may be new, refurbished or functionally equivalent, depending on availability and the manufacturer’s policy.
Exact color, design or component specifications may not be available when a product has been updated or discontinued.
RideMart will assist with communication and claim coordination, but the manufacturer generally makes the final determination regarding warranty eligibility and the appropriate remedy.
How to Submit a Warranty Claim
Email support@ridemartshop.com with the following information:
- RideMart order number
- Purchaser’s full name
- Phone number and email address
- Product brand, model and color
- Product serial number
- Current mileage, when available
- Date the issue began
- Detailed description of the problem
- Photos of the complete product
- Close-up photos of the affected component
- A clear video demonstrating the issue
- Proof of professional assembly, when required
For noises, motor problems, electrical failures, display errors or intermittent issues, video with clear audio may be required.
Missing information may delay the review process.
Do not return the complete product or any component until RideMart provides return authorization and shipping instructions.
Claim Review Process
RideMart will review the submitted information and may request additional photographs, videos, testing or troubleshooting.
The claim may then be submitted to the applicable manufacturer for approval.
Processing time varies depending on:
- Complexity of the issue
- Manufacturer response time
- Availability of replacement parts
- Need for inspection or diagnostic testing
- Shipping and transportation requirements
Submitting a claim does not guarantee warranty approval.
Maintenance Responsibility
The owner is responsible for routine inspection and maintenance of the product.
Before every ride, customers should inspect:
- Brakes
- Tires and tire pressure
- Wheels and axles
- Handlebars and stem
- Pedals and crank arms
- Chain or belt
- Battery installation
- Lights and electronic controls
- Bolts and fasteners
Failure to properly inspect or maintain the product may cause damage that is not covered by warranty.
Additional Protection Plans
Any separately purchased extended warranty, service contract or product protection plan is independent of the manufacturer’s limited warranty.
Claims under a third-party protection plan must be submitted directly to the applicable protection-plan provider according to its terms.
RideMart does not control or guarantee the outcome of claims administered by third-party providers.
Consumer Rights
This limited warranty policy gives customers specific legal rights. Customers may also have additional rights under applicable federal, state or local law.
Nothing in this policy is intended to exclude or limit any consumer rights that cannot legally be excluded or limited.
Written warranty terms should be available for review before purchase, so RideMart should clearly display each product’s actual one-year, two-year or other warranty duration on its product page rather than relying only on the general Support page.
